3月，上海辰山植物园（中国科学院上海辰山植物科学研究中心）在壳斗科和大戟科两个分类群方面的研究取得进展，两篇科研论文先后在植物分类学研究方面影响力较高的国际期刊《Plant Systematics and Evolution》和《Phytotaxa》上在线发表。

具体研究论文包括植物系统与进化研究组邓敏博士的Comparative morphology of leaf epidermis in the genus Lithocarpus and its implication in leaf epidermal feature evolution in Fagaceae（Plant Systematics and Evolution 299:659-681）和植物分类学研究组马金双博士的A new species of Euphorbia (Euphorbiaceae) from Guangxi, China（Phytotaxa87 (3): 45–49）。此次论文的成功发表，是辰山植物科研成果的一角，也标志着辰山的科研工作在不到3年的时间里已初露尖角。
